3 Powerful Morning Prayers: Arielle Barbopoulos Ms New York Christian Miss 2026

Starting your day off right determines how your day is going to be. The first few minutes of your morning are super impactful. I notice if I pray right when I wake up and invite God into my mind and day, my mind is in the right place. I’m ready to conquer my day. If I skip praying for a few hours, scroll on my phone when I wake up, and just get ready, anxiety starts to fill my mind. It’s important to start your day with God. A lot of times when I wake up, I pray, “God, get in my head before anything else can.” Talking to your Creator is so important. God woke you up for another day. You made it on His wake-up list. You woke up because you have a purpose to God today. How exciting! It’s important to make sure you talk to the one who gave you another morning before you go about your day.

Here are some prayer points to start your morning…

Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18)

“Lord, I thank you that you have given me a spiritual armor. Fasten my waist with the belt of truth. May I stand so firm in the truth of your Word so I will not be a victim of satan’s lies. Place upon me the breastplate of righteousness. May it guard my heart from evil so I will remain pure and holy, protected under the blood of Jesus Christ. Place on my feet the readiness of the gospel of peace. May I stand so firm in the good news of the gospel so that your peace will shine through me and be a light to all I encounter. Give me the shield of faith. May I be ready for satan’s fiery darts of doubt, denial, and deceit so I will not be vulnerable to spiritual defeat. Crown me with the helmet of salvation. May I keep my mind focused on you so that satan will not have a stronghold on my thoughts. Place in my hands the sword of the Spirit. May the two-edged sword of Your Word be ready in my hands so I can expose the tempting words of satan. I stand firm and in spiritual victory in Jesus' mighty name, Amen."

Psalm 91

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Surely He will save me from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover me with His feathers, and under His wings I will find refuge. His faithfulness will be my shield and rampart. I will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me. I will only observe with my eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. I say the Lord is my refuge, and I make the Most High my dwelling. No harm will overtake me, no disaster will come near my tent, for He will command His angels concerning me to guard me in all my ways. They will lift me up with their hands so I will not strike my foot against a stone. I will tread on the lion and the cobra; I will trample the great lion and the serpent because he loves me, says the Lord. I will rescue him; I will protect him for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him with long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation, in Jesus' mighty name, amen.”

Plead the Blood of Jesus

  • I plead the blood of Jesus from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.

  • I plead the blood of Jesus over this day and over every conversation.

  • I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, soul, and spirit.

  • I plead the blood of Jesus over my family, friends, classmates, teachers, coworkers, etc.

  • I plead the blood of Jesus over my school, workplace, home, etc.

Exodus 12:13 ~ “But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

1 Peter 1:18-19 ~ “For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.”
